The civil ceremonies usually take place in the City halls or in splendid sea view areas that belong to the Town Hall. Only in few venues on the Amalfi coast it is possible to plan a civil ceremony and a wedding reception in the same venue, it is possible in Amalfi and in Praiano but it is no possible in Ravello, in Positano and in many other villages of the Amalfi coast.

LOGISTIC ISSUES FOR WEDDINGS IN POSITANO, PRAIANO AND RAVELLO

If you decide to get married in Positano or you decide to get married in Ravello or Praiano for sure you will have logistic issues to transport your guests from the ceremony to the reception and to bring items to your wedding venue. Some wedding venues in Ravello such as Villa Cimbrone or Villa Eva can only be reached walking and older guests would need help. There is only my Giuseppe in Ravello that can bring a person per time to the venue using his small eletric chair. The items to the venue can only be transported using local porters and in certain timings of the day. Some wedding venues in Positano are far from the center and can only be joined using steps (a lot of steps) but a ceremony planned there is worth each single step you have done, since you will enjoy an unique and breathtaking sea view. There are villages of the Amalfi coast which are easier and others that are more complicated.
