The town hall of Siena stands on the most central part of the town, and dominates Piazza del Campo. The Siena wedding hall is one of our most popular locations for civil weddings. It is a Gothic building, which has served as Siena’s Town Hall since the 14th century. It is one of Italy’s most ancient and dramatic Town Halls.

The town hall of San Gimignano stands on the highest part of the town in Piazza del Piazza del Duomo. The San Gimignano wedding hall – Palazzo del Podestà – is one of our most popular locations for civil weddings. Civil ceremonies take place in the historical Dante’s Hall, full of historical and immense frescoes.

San Galgano’s Civil ceremony – location and description

The 13th century Cistercian Abbey of San Galgano, located not far from Siena, is one of the most dramatic settings for a legal Civil wedding in Tuscany. This roofless Abbey creates a very romantic, unique and special atmosphere.

Catholic Weddings in Tuscany can only take place in a church.

Wedding Ceremonies take place in many larges cathedral or small chapels. The Ceremony can be legal binding. The churches can be decorated at your pleasure with flowers, vases, urns, organza, trees and candles but it is not possible to decorate pews.

Protestant wedding ceremonies

For the Protestant Ceremony there are two options:

1st option: LEGAL BINDING PROTESTANT CEREMONY

Protestant ceremony ( Valdesian rite) with legal effect. It combines religious and civil ceremony. The Minister speaks only Italian and the Ceremony is co-officiated with an English speaking Interpreter.

2nd option:

Protestant ceremony without legal effects: this is only a religious ceremony. You need to go to the Town Hall some days before the wedding for the civil ceremony or give proof to the Pastor of your official Wedding Certificate.

Jewish Weddings in Tuscany

A Jewish Wedding in Tuscany could be celebrated in beautiful and breathtaking venues and panoramic gardens from spring to late autumn. The documents requested in order to celebrate an Orthodox.

Jewish wedding in Italy are the following:

Presentation letter to the rabbi
The Jewish name of the declaring Rabbi
Certificates attesting that the couple are members of Jewish communities
Birth certificates of the couple
Jewish names of the couple (required in order to prepare the Ketubah)
Ketubah of the bride’s and the groom’s parents’ weddings;
Jewish names of the couple’s parents (if they are all Jewish it is possible to use their Ketubah)
TEHUDAT RAVAKUT, a certificate of single status, issued by an orthodox Beth-Din
Acertificate to give proof that the mitzvah was already performed
